Original Texas Monthly’s 50 Best BBQ Joints Map is hand drawn using pen & ink with acrylic paints on illustration board. Illustration dimensions with custom shadow box frame 19x23 inches, artwork is 16x20 inches. Commission map I created for Texas Monthly, the challenge was representing all 50 BBQ names and top 10 locations on the poster.
Chris makes all of his shadow box frames using select pine and stains them dark brown. Artwork is cradled and then mounted onto the shadow box frame.
